Basel tram is a means of public transport in the Swiss city of Basel and its surroundings. There is also one international line that serves the French town Leymen.

The tramway was opened on 6 may 1895, when the electric tram of Basel run for the first time.

There are eleven tram lines that are operated by two companies: Baselland Transport AG and Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe.

The most modern trams are Combino.
