Noted office-holders have included Thomas Jefferson, Daniel Webster, William H. Seward, William Jennings Bryan, Cordell Hull, John Foster Dulles, Dean Rusk, Henry Kissinger, Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, and Condoleezza Rice.
