All Hallow's Eve, or Halloween, is a holiday that occurs on the 31st of October, and is steeped in tradition and myth. To most Americans Halloween is the day to participate in Trick-or-Treating. This tradition consists of people of all ages traveling from door-to-door dressed in costumes and disguises, collecting collect candy and other festive treats from their neighbors. Halloween, along with Easter, Valentine's Day and Christmas are the biggest candy selling days of the year.

Halloween parties are also customary; guests are tasked with showing up in costume to the host's location in order to truly "celebrate". Additionally, many cities often have a special nightlife dedicated to the event with bars offering specials and contests such as "best costume" and "worst costume".
