I was born and raised in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, spending most of my youth amidst the fields of oil tanks in Greensboro. In 1989 I attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, in Durham NC. From that time I have lived in or around the Raleigh-Durham area, attending NC State University, and working in various industries as a software engineer.

My career centers around computer controlled automated systems, including industrial, medical, and personal automata. My professional interest is in robotics; most specifically, intelligent systems. I also have personal interests in a wide variety of other fields from hard sciences to the arts.
