I am a resident of North Carolina with a third of a century's experience teaching English in this country and abroad. I have multiple master's degrees (English, history)and I have done graduate-level work in Japanese literature and history. At the moment my primary interest is in history, classical and Middle Eastern. I have read the Citizendium article on Islam with pleasure and feel that it is useful but that the writing is often amateurish. I apply here now specifically because I should like to edit the writing in that article and make corrections where necessary.
