I was born in 1970, in Curitiba (Brazil), and moved to São Paulo (Brazil) one year later. I got a degree in Physics in the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 1992. In 1994 I got my MSc. degree in Nuclear Science and Technology in the Nuclear and Energetic Research Institute on the same University (IPEN-USP), working with Solid State Nuclear Track detectors for neutron dosimetry purposes. In 2006 I got a PhD. degree in Nuclear Science and Technology at the same Institute, now working with gamma spectroscopy and nuclear structure following beta-decay. From 1994 to 1998 I worked with nuclear structure and in-beam nuclear spectroscopy in the Pelletron Tandem Accelerator of the USP Physics Institute.
