Re-write of summation of the legal case
After having set aside this work for several weeks and then come back to it, I discovered that my original work no longer seemed so brilliant to me. The re-write which I have begun this day is designed to more closely hew to the actual development of the Court's case as expressed in the majority opinion of the Court, written by then Chief Justice Warren Burger. Of course, it cannot be, nor is it meant to be, a substitute for reading the entire opinion.
I will also be re-writing the section on the legacy of this important case (also originally written by myself), a section which, in its current form, I hold to be far from satisfactory.
