Mike Filey is a journalist and historian living and working in Toronto, Ontario.[1] According to his friend Alan Parker, another columnist at the Toronto Sun, Filey is known as “Toronto’s best-known historian”.

In 2009 the Etobicoke Historical Society granted him the Jean Hibbert Memorial Award.[2]
