I received my Bachelor's degree in physics (minor in maths) from the University of California-Irvine in 1999, followed by a PhD in theoretical high energy physics from Penn State University in 2005. I then held a 2-year postdoc position at the University of Milan-Biccoca in Italy. I currently reside in Southern California. My current interests are in science policy and education.
