I grew up in Birkenhead UK and read Chemistry at University College Oxford. I then qualified as a chartered accountant and worked as a management consultant until I retired. I am a glider pilot and have been a gliding instructor since 1992. I am on the Committee of Management of one of the world’s largest gliding clubs.
