I am Joe Malin, I am a technical writer at Google, Inc. in Mountain View, California. I graduated from Haverford College, Haverford, PA, USA in the mid-1970s, and took graduate courses in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, USA before joining Hewlett-Packard (Cupertino, CA, USA) as a software engineer. | |||
While at Oracle Corporation in Redwood City, CA, USA, I took up the role of technical writer; at the same time, I studied technical writing at San Jose (CA) State University. I have always studied information science and communication, and in these days of internet/electronic communication, I am particularly concerned about communicating information in a way that helps the "reader". | |||
My goal in online information sources is to contribute knowledge when I can, but more importantly to facilitate the exchange of knowledge with my own training and experience in writing. |
