I am a retired research mathematician. I worked for the Gruman Aerospace Corporation for 30 years, almost entirely in the research department. I have published numerous papers on the theory and applications of optimal control. The application that is best known is the minimum fuel trajectory of the Lunar Lander rocket. Columbia University awarded me a Bachelor of Science degree - physics major, mathematics minor. I did graduate work in physics at Adelphi U.
