I grew up in Birkenhead UK and read Chemistry at University College Oxford.  I then qualified as a chartered accountant and worked as a management consultant until I retired.  I am a glider pilot and have been a gliding instructor since 1992. I am on the Committee of Management of one of the world’s largest gliding clubs.  I published a book on gliding called “Bronze & Beyond” (ISBN 095487420X) in 2004. This is sold through various outlets including my web-site http://www.mccullagh.demon.co.uk/bronze.htm  I have been a contributor to Wikipedia (User Jmcc150) since 2005 and have created over 100 articles.  I was the major contributor when Gliding became a featured article in Wikipedia in November 2006.  I currently live in Kingston-upon-Thames.
