I have Bachelor's in mathematics from M.I.T. and a Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard. I worked on the Macsyma symbolic math system years ago and now contribute to the open-source Maxima derivative. In computer science, I've worked on programming language design, programming language implementation (compilers, etc.), operating system kernels, database systems, Web search, ....
I live in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
