The Martin Family Band is a traditional music group from Maryland and Virginia. Playing old time Appalachian and Irish music, the family has performed nationally and overseas since 1995. Their 2009 release on Patuxent Records was nominated for a WAMU Washington Area Music award as well as pre-nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album.

Jeanean Martin, Carl Martin, and son and daughters Claude, Lydia and Emily form the core of this traditional family group. Bass player Joshua Henderson and other friends also sometimes join performances and recordings by the band.

The Martin Family Band is played on radio stations around the world.

The Martin Family Band has also performed colonial historic music and holiday music at the historic home of America's first president, George Washington, since 1995. George Washington's Mount Vernon accepts visitors year round and has special events such as the holiday season candlelight tour, with interpreters acting out the role of the Washington family and servants, and the 18th Century Fair, where authentic 18th century goods and artwork may be purchased and many entertainers such as The Martin Family, Ship's Company, and Dr. Balthazar's Medicine Show may be enjoyed.
