Rich Iott is a businessman, and Republican candidate opposing Marcy Kaptur in Ohio's 9th Congressional District. H.is participation in historical reeenaction of a Schutzstaffel unit is being criticized as an example of extremism.[1]

An activist in the Tea Party movement, he had originally planned to run as an independent, but later decided that Republican affiliation would be appropriate. [2]
