Current Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop and use software for simulating atmospheric entry by spacecraft including the thermal protection material response due to atmospheric heating. My software was used in the design of the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) aeroshell and was referenced in the MER CDR report. My software also played a role in the development of many NASA interplanetary spacecraft, e.g. Stardust, SAGE, Kitty Hawk II, JIMO, etc.
