- Enrols in the University of Berlin, reading law, history and philosophy. Becomes a Hegelian idealist[1]

- Graduates with a doctorate in philosophy.

- Marriage to Jenny von Westphalen.

- Meets Friedrich Engels. Writes "the Paris Manuscripts"
1845
- Expelled from France

- Writes "The Poverty of Philosophy".

- Publication of the "Communist Manifesto" (written jointly with Engels)

- Writes articles in the "Neue Rheinische Zeitung". Moves to London.
