- Enrols in the University of Berlin, reading law, history and philosophy. Becomes a Hegelian idealist[1]

- Graduates with a doctorate in philosophy.

- Marriage to Jenny von Westphalen.

- Meets Friedrich Engels. Writes "the Paris Manuscripts"

- Writes The Poverty of Philosphy.

- Publication of the Communist Manifesto (written jointly with Engels)

- Moves to London.

- Writes "The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonapart"e.
