I inherited my father's interest in wild orchids, and have spent happy times finding them in UK, France and Spain. I am a licenced Radio Amateur (G4PGW), read about European history (mostly since 1789: I wasn't interested in it at school!), and fool around with 1.3 hectares I own in Devon. I enjoy outside pursuits, such as walking in the Lake District and the mountains of Northern England, and cycling and camping in France and the UK.
