William Henry "Bill" Cosby (b. July 12, 1937, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American comedian, actor, television host, musician, and activist. His most successful television endeavor was The Cosby Show, which appeared on NBC from 1984 to 1992. He also created Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids and was a spokesman for products such as Jell-O, Kodak film, Ford, Texas Instruments, and Coca-Cola.
He is an advocate for education and produced education programs for children such as Little Bill and has donated money to universities.
