Intel is a Fortune 500[1] manufacturer of integrated circuits. The company is best known for its popular Pentium line of computer chips (or Central Processing Units), which are used on the majority of general purpose computers today.
The lineal ancestor of the Pentium, the Intel 8080, was used in several of the first home computers, like the Altair 8080 and the Imsai 8080.
