I live in NW England and work for the NHS in a community mental health service for older adults. I qualified in 1980 and am also general nurse trained.

Since the 1980s I have been interested in computing, especially health and other forms of informatics. My interests include Hodges' model a conceptual framework that facilitates problem solving, analysis, synthesis plus personal and group reflection.

The model incorporates four knowledge domains, and each includes a links resource.

My professional qualifications include: RMN, RGN, BA(Hons) philosophy and computing; PGCE; PG(Dip) COPE.

I am also an independent scholar with a website devoted to Hodges' model and a blog 'Welcome to the QUAD'. The website and blog include biographical details.
