Greetings to all, I am a dentist working at a Dental school doing research and teaching the subject of Dental Materials. As a hobby, myself and some friends started an organization called Centre for Portuguese Nautical Studies (CPNS) - we do research into Portuguese maritime history and shipwrecks associated with it. We also promote the importance of Maritime archaeology and the importance of shipwreck sites as 'cultural heritage' belonging to all. Another important aim is to promote the importance of museums and assist museums in their part of giving credit to the importance of 'Maritime history & Maritime Heritage'.

I see myself as an expert on South African shipwrecks and South African shipwreck legislation, Portuguese maritime history (15-17th century) and have some experience in the the role of museums in the preservation and display of artifacts from shipwreck sites.
