I attended a computer friendly high school from 1976 to 1980. Using a dial-up time share system at Rutgers University and taking weekly public presentations at Princeton University I graduated from high school programming in BASIC, Fortran, COBOL and IBM Assembler. I attended the University of Hartford in the Math department and received a BS in Math and Computer Science in 1984. Upon graduation I ran a computer system consisting of a Digital Equipment Corporation VAXCluster with an attached array processor from Floating Point Systems. In 1987 I relocated to the Chicago area where I've been employed by the Northern Trust Corporation in their on-line client facing application department for 20 years. Today I'm a senior programmer/architect responsible for Northern Trust's public facing web sites (http://www.northerntrust.com), internal web (intranet) and corporate standards.

I also teach, as a contractor, at Purdue University North Central in Westville Indiana (http://www.pnc.edu). Over the past +/- 10 years there I have taught an intro to computers course, VisualBasic, C++ and Web Site design.

I have presented a paper describing the Enterprise Content Management System I architected at the Interwoven GearUp user conference in 2005 and have been invited back to present again in '07.

On the side I help coach the Valparaiso Hockey Club (Ice hockey) and also referee ice hockey in South Bend Indiana.
