The present page, even as a stub is worrying. A number of assertions are made quite 'controversial' in the light of general scholarly opinion. I am therefore reluctantly jettisoning the present text and starting off with a fresh look at Plato. Possibly some of the material in the stub can and should be resurrrected, but I would ask others to do this, bearing in mind as I say, the dubious nature of some of it.
