Xuejia Lai (来学嘉 Lái Xuéjiā) is a cryptographer best known for designing the International Data Encryption Algorithm. That work was his PhD Thesis [1] at ETH Zurich under James Massey.

Since 2004, he has been a professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University. He has a home page there.
