Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! D. Matt Innis 19:43, 10 April 2008 (CDT)

T.S. Eliot

Nice work on the Eliot page! (And welcome to Citizendium!) Please feel free to flesh out our articles on the Metaphysical poets (and by that, I mean start them from scratch-- we have almost nothing). I look forward to seeing you around. Brian P. Long 11:05, 13 April 2008 (CDT)

Many thanks for this. It's good to be encouraged when one's a newbie! Michael Forde Cayley 11:24, 13 April 2008 (CDT)
I know the feeling well. One of the problems the project has had (and continues to have) is that there is a lot of policy and custom, some of which has been written down, some of which has not-- it can be overwhelming when you're just getting started. Just contribute and be civil to other contributors, and you'll be fine.
And now that I think of it, if you have anything to contribute to the George Herbert page, jump right in. Thanks, Brian P. Long 11:43, 13 April 2008 (CDT)
