Manchuria is a region in northeastern China, rich in natural resources.

Its control was key to the Empire of Japan. After the staged Manchurian Incident, Japan made of it, in 1932, a nominal country called Manchukuo, with Henry Pu-Yi as its Head of State.

The Soviet Union invaded it in 1945.
