Fiscal conservatism is a highly controversial topic, both among American conservatives and their critics. Some of the issues which enliven discussion of this topic include:

  • Is fiscal conservative economically sound, as its supporters suggest, or based on "voodoo economics" as President George H.W. Bush once suggested?
