Why is this titled 2008-2009...
If it started in January 2009? Howard C. Berkowitz 01:41, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- I renamed it to 2009. Howard C. Berkowitz 18:48, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- It started in December 2008, something I failed to make clear. The ground invasion began in January. The other wiki calls this 'Gaza War', but I'm open to any other names. Otherwise, I think it should go back to the old title.
- It's one thing when a war lasts for many years, but a few days in 2008, to me, isn't all that significant. I'd be extremely hesitant to call it a war, as, from a formal military standpoint, it is a campaign or even battle within a much larger context. First and Second Battles of Fallujah are roughly comparable, and part of the Iraq War. 2006 Israeli-Lebanon Conflict. So far, I tend to expect that wars involve nations (loosely, the Taliban was one). Howard C. Berkowitz 18:26, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Diversifying sources and updating
There has been significant further investigation. At this point, I'm more introducing brief mentions of additional sources, to avoid overdependence on the generally reliable BBC. Howard C. Berkowitz 16:37, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
