Fast Carriers Pacific Fleet [r]: A WWII U.S. Formation, designated TF34 when under United States Third Fleet command and TF58 under United States Fifth Fleet, which controlled the major component of Naval Aviation and aircraft carriers at sea; primarily commanded by Adm. Marc Mitscher; replaced the earlier aviation component of Battle Fleet
