Force is the push or pull that accelerates a body having mass. Force is a vector quantity, having both magnitude and direction.

According to Newton's Second Law of Motion, force is defined as: \overrightarrow{F}=m\frac{d\overrightarrow{v}}{dt}=m\overrightarrow{a}, where m,v and a are the mass, velocity and resulting acceleration of the body experiencing the force.
