Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati (b. 1959) most notable for her translation of and extensive commentary upon the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. She is the student of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, with whom she began studying at the age of 17.

Along with the translation mentioned above, Swami Muktibodhananda has also done extensive research into the text Swara Yoga - The Tantric Science of Breain Breathing, an ancient treatise associated with her lineage. She is considered by most an authority, not only in the science of Yoga, but on its more traditional aspects of practice.

In 1985, Swami Muktibodhananda returned to her native Australia to establish the Melbourne Yoga Therapy Center, where she continues to live and teach in service to her guru, Satyananda. [1]
