The University of Toronto is a large, federal University based in Toronto, established by Royal Charter in 1827. As of 2008 it has 70,143 students (62,097 full-time), 11,807 faculty and staff and 422,000 alumni[1]. The University comprises three federated universities, four constituent colleges, an affiliated college and four theological colleges. In addition to the St. George Campus in downtown Toronto, the university has satellite campuses in the neighboring communities of Mississauga and Scarborough.
