Richard Starkey Jr, (born 7 July 1940), better known as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, songwriter, and actor. He achieved international fame as the drummer for the 1960's rock group, The Beatles. As a tradition, he sang one song in every Beatles studio album. Since their breakup, he has also launched a successful solo career.
