Oktoberfest is an annual festival in Munich. The first Oktoberfest was the celebration of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen in 1810. It has changed over the years and is now a large Volksfest known primarily for the quantity of beer consumed. Oktoberfest takes place during the last two weeks of September, ending on the first Sunday of October.
