K2 is a mountain located on the border between Pakistan and China. It is exactly 8,611 meters (28,251 feet) tall, and is one of the most difficult mountains for expeditions to climb. In the local language of Balti, K2 is known as "Chogori", which tranlates to 'king of mountains' or 'Great mountain'.[1][2]
