The Dead Aunt is an alcoholic beverage from northern Frisia, Germany. It is simple to make: to a cup of hot chocolate, add 4 cl (about one shot or 1.3 oz) of brown rum. The drink is covered by whipped cream.

The origin of the name is not known, but people say that it is similar to the origin of the name “Pharisee”, with the difference that the background story happened after a funeral.
