Cucumber on the vine.

The cucumber is a vine related to squashes that is cultivated for its fruits, which may be eaten raw but are often pickled or cooked. Originally from Asia, a variety of different types of cucumbers are grown and eaten throughout the world today and they are important ingredients in a number of regional cuisines.
