Cornwallis Island is an Island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, adjacent to the Northwest Passage. The community of Resolute Bay is on Cornwallis Island.

Near the townsite there was a rocket launching site, for the launch of scientific rockets to explore the upper atmosphere and aurora borealis.
