Gunther Lenz works for Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton, New Jersey. He leads the global research efforts for Software Factories and Microsoft technologies within Siemens Corporate Technology world wide. The goal of his work is to increase the efficiency of software development in Siemens business units through systematic reuse and automation of the software development process. He therefore focuses in his current research on Model-Driven Software Development (MDSD), automated guidance in context and Software Factories. He currently also pursues an Executive MBA degree at NYU Stern. Gunther is the author of the books “Practical Software Factories in .NET” and “.NET—A Complete Development Cycle”. He is an invited member of an expert advisory board for Microsoft, and received the Microsoft MVP Solution Architect award. Gunther frequently presents at international conferences on subjects related to software engineering.
