Outlining

Come on, party people! (i.e., people who took part in the write-a-thon) This article really needs to get written.

I saw this article's non-stub status and assumed that a solid article had already been written, but it hadn't. So I took it upon myself to make an outline for this article. Not so much because I think that an outline is aesthetically pleasing, but because it breaks up the article into manageable chunks. My goal (as with the Alexander the Great article) is to plug stuff into the sections in whatever order I feel like going in. I invite other people to do the same, if they want to.

I will primarily be working out of 'Ancient Greece: A Political, Social and Cultural History' by Sarah Pomeroy et al. (1999), though I may occasionally dip into my 'Oxford History of the Classical World' (Boardman et al., 1986). I lack a large number of crucial primary sources for Greek History, so if someone wants to get good quotations out of primary sources for the article, that would be worth doing.

At present, and much as I love Greek literature, I have no plans to write anything in the literature or art sections. I would like to get around to social history if I have the time. Thanks! Brian P. Long 17:56, 9 February 2008 (CST)
