Forest Plot showing meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials of differing target glucose control and mortality for diabetes mellitus type 2. Note the heterogeneity (P<0.05 and high I2 in red circle) due to increased death when the glycosylated hemoglobin A (Hb A1c) target was 6.0% in the ACCORD trial[1]
