Camellia is a cipher from Mitsubshi and Nippon Telephone and Telegraph. It has the same 128-bit block size so it could be used as a drop-in replacement for AES in many applications. It is one of the standard ciphers for the NESSIE (New European Schemes for Signatures, Integrity and Encryption) project.

Camellia is an 18-round Feistel cipher. Some of the design is quite similar to NTT's earlier cipher E2, which was an AES candidate.

The cipher is freely available for any use. It has a home page; see external links.
