Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr (born 20 January 1930) is a former astronaut who piloted the Apollo 11 mission's lunar module from the command vessel to the lunar surface. After mission commander Neil Armstrong, Aldrin was the second human to set foot on the Moon.
