In 2008 Rothschild and Osborne had a breach.[3] Rothschild was hosting both Osborne on his Greek Island, where Osborne was indiscrete about ties members of the Tory party had with Oleg Deripaska, then Russia's richest oligarch. Rothschild felt betrayed, and wrote a letter to The Times.
