Vanilloideae [r]: It is a subfamily of Orchidaceae split into two tribes, fifteen genera and 250 species spread throughout the humid tropical and subtropical areas of the world; known for being orchids with mealy or paste-like pollen, which ordinarily are not aggregated into pollinia; with one fertile incumbent anther only and leaves without stealthing bases.
