Dr. Stone Shi is an analytical chemist specialized in mass spectrometric analysis of proteins and peptides. He was born in Shanghai China. He obtained B.S. and M.S. in organic chemistry from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from Florida State University. He was principal scientist at GlaxoSmithKline in King of Prussia, PA before he moved to work for Pfizer La Jolla Labs (San Diego, CA). His expertises include mass spectrometry analysis of proteins and protein modifications, including intact protein analysis and peptide mapping with LC-MS/MS; instrumentation of mass spectrometers, especially Fourier transform mass spectrometers (FT/MS); protein-ligand interaction studies. His hobbies include running, traveling and photography.
