Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! --Larry Sanger 00:27, 15 November 2006 (CST)

Please be careful to cite the source of the image in full, and make sure that links back to the author's bio at Wikimedia Commons work. See the version now Image:CapilanoLake.jpg for an example of what I mean. Thanks! JesseWeinstein 01:53, 16 November 2006 (CST)

deletion
completed hope this helps. Robert Tito | Talk 23:43, 9 February 2007 (CST)
- I actually meant recent2.js, but as that has just been put in the category 'Articles for Deletion', the problem should be solved. --Nicholas Kaye-Smith 18:43, 10 February 2007 (CST)
that was the page I did delete recent2.js, as per your request. Robert Tito | Talk 18:45, 10 February 2007 (CST)
- In the deletion log, it says you deleted User:Nicholas Kaye-Smith/recent2.js (in my userspace)- not recent2.js (in mainspace). --Nicholas Kaye-Smith 19:11, 10 February 2007 (CST)
the page marked for deletion it was.http://pilot.citizendium.org/wiki/Special:Recentchanges
- It was marked for deletion? That's unusual.
- Anyway, I'm sure we are in agreement about the deletion of recent2.js, and if it's OK with you, I'd like to keep User:Nicholas Kaye-Smith/recent2.js alive. Thanks. --Nicholas Kaye-Smith 19:33, 10 February 2007 (CST)
- That's a handy-looking script. Or will be, once we get RSS up and running. :) --Mike Johnson 21:51, 10 February 2007 (CST)
- The script - at least in its unmodified state - requires that http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Query is installed. And doesn't someone want to delete recent2.js - the accidental copy in mainspace? --Nicholas Kaye-Smith 20:34, 13 February 2007 (CST)
- Thanks Nicholas- recent2.js has been deleted, and I'll look into the Query extension. I have to admit I don't know much about it at this point- think it'd be useful? --Mike Johnson 00:07, 15 February 2007 (CST)

User Javascript
You may have seen this, but the tech team has enabled wgAllowUserJs. Cheers- --Mike Johnson 23:48, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
- I started CZ:Enhancing your editing with java extensions Please add to it as you see fit. Stephen Ewen 00:15, 14 March 2007 (CDT)
The "Filter Recent Changes" part of the anti-vandal script might be usable for constables - everything works for me except the non-admin rollback. This appears to be due to the lack of the query.php extension. --Nicholas Kaye-Smith 02:00, 20 March 2007 (CDT)
